Growing food has always been part of our story. I grew up on a farm in South Dakota, and when my parents separated, I moved to Arizona at ten years old. I didn’t expect to love it here, but Rim Country became home in the deepest way. I raised my family here, planted gardens for as long as I can remember, and always felt that pull back to my roots — to soil, seasons, hard work, and growing something meaningful.
In 2019, I became a Master Gardener, and I’m still rooted in this community through volunteer work with our local Master Gardener group and the town’s Heritage Apple Orchard. Farming, gardening, and learning from the land have shaped so much of who I am.
Our farm truly began when my husband’s father passed down three beautiful acres in prime Rim Country. He helped us start our farm production, taught us what he knew about this soil, and gave us priceless time working side by side before he passed away just a few years later. This land carries his story, our family’s story, and the future we’re building together.
With rich soil, incredible Rim Country water, and a whole lot of love, we grow some of the best vegetables and microgreens around. We’re still learning, still building, and still growing a little more every day.
Come follow along and watch us grow.
Today, we grow on three acres here in Payson, Arizona - land that has been passed down through the family. We grow microgreens, vegetables, edible flowers and more, with a focus on healthy soil, good food and sharing what we learn along the way.
